Wakeify (“we”, “our”, the “app”) is a music alarm clock for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.
We built Wakeify to respect your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the
choices you have. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other
companies’ apps and websites.
Information we collect
Usage & diagnostics (analytics). We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand
how the app is used so we can improve it — for example which features are opened, alarms created, or
purchases started. This includes app-interaction events, your device model, operating-system version,
approximate region (derived from IP, not stored), and Apple’s per-vendor identifier (IDFV). We also
generate a random, anonymous installation ID. This data is not linked to your name, email, or any
account, and is not used for advertising.
Music-service connections. When you connect Spotify or Apple Music, the resulting
authorization tokens are stored only on your device (in the iOS Keychain / app container).
We do not operate a server, and we do not receive, store, or share your music library or listening history.
Alarms & settings. Your alarms, chosen sounds, and preferences are stored on your
device (and, if enabled, in your private iCloud/App-Group container). They are not uploaded to us.
Purchases. Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. We receive
your subscription status from Apple to unlock features — we never see your payment details.
How we use information
To operate alarms and play your selected music.
To understand feature usage and improve the app (analytics).
To provide and validate your Wakeify Pro entitlement.
What we do not do
We do not show advertising or use the advertising identifier (IDFA).
We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
We do not sell or rent your data, or share it with data brokers.
Third-party services
The app integrates these services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Turn off analytics. Open Settings → Privacy → Share Usage Analytics in the app to stop analytics collection at any time.
Disconnect services. Disconnect Spotify or Apple Music in Settings → Music Services; this removes the stored tokens from your device.
Delete everything. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data (alarms, settings, tokens).
Data retention
On-device data (alarms, settings, tokens) remains until you remove it or delete the app. Analytics
events are retained by Google Firebase according to your project’s configured retention settings.
Security
Authorization tokens are stored using the iOS Keychain where available. Network requests use HTTPS.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Children’s privacy
Wakeify is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new “Last updated” date on this page.
